2-23-2016

Setlist:
1. Drunks With Guns - Blood Bath
2. City Bones - Right To Die
3. Pussy Galore - SM57
4. The Nortones - Boy (33RPM)
5. Carl Perkins - Her Love Rubbed Off
6. AMM - Toccata
7. Anode/Cathode - 中華人民動物園

Drunks With Guns - "Blood Bath"
Off the "Drunks With Guns" LP released on Chopper Records in 1987.
Previously Featured on 7-31-2015
One of the many greats of first wave Noise Rock, the legendary DWG are now best-known for their sloppy and belligerent sound, shit-fi yet fitting production, and this weird mix of Hardcore, Noise Rock and Industrial; kind of like No Trend in that way. Hailing from St. Louis of all places, DWG reflect the infamous shithole that is their home city; with dimwit nihilism and purposefully stupid songs. I mean, you can't say the grunts on this song aren't kind of stupid.

City Bones - "Right To Die"
Off the "Our Loss" tape self-released in 2009.
A pretty forceful and abrasive tape, (in the best way possible, mind you) City Bones first tape (to my knowledge they only had 2) is a 6 minute blur hosting 2 songs. Although I've been critical of modern PE and Noise Rock / Hardcore aesthetics, (I love it, but it can get pretty stupid at times) City Bones do add an element of menace and pathology that hasn't been recreated since Whitehouse's early period.

Pussy Galore - "SM57"
Off the "Dial M for Motherfucker" LP released on Caroline Records in 1989.
How this blog has gone so far without featuring this Noise Blues Tweak-Outs, I'll never know. From the cultural utopia of Washington DC, these eccentrics may not be as trashy as Royal Trux, but the trash-ometer is still pretty high. Also, using tin cans as a drum kit? Impressive!

The Nortones - "Boy" (33RPM)
Off the "Boy / Smile, Just Smile" Single released on Warner Bros. Records in 1959.
An obscure Doo-Wop 45 I got a few months ago, Boy sounds like any Doo-Wop song at 45, but when put onto 33 1/3 it sounds like a Bar-Band from hell. The Nortones are one of the lesser-known bands on Warner Bros catalog, mostly because they, to my knowledge, only released this single. Sad that the main joy from it comes at playing it 11 2/3 RPM's too slow, but what can ya do?

Carl Perkins - "Her Love Rubbed Off"
Off the "Honky Tonky Gal" LP released on Rounder Records in 1988.
Crowning itself as one of Rockabilly's most fucked-up songs, "Her Love Rubbed Off" is commonly compared to Suicide in atmosphere and tone, seemingly innocent guitar riffs boil down into a reverberated mess with screaming and yelling. Pretty neat for what it is, and it's a great example of that old school, lo-fi Rockabilly production.

AMM - "Later During A Flaming Riviera Sunset"
Off the "AMMMusic 1966" CD released on ReR Megacorp in 1989.
The infamous AMM has been making glorious noise since the mid 60's, and are often considered the fathers of Free-Improvisation. Although that can be debated, AMM's debut, AMMMusic in 1967 (recorded in 1966) was a breakthrough for the underground music world, which at the time was mostly caught up in Musique Concrete and Indeterminacy.
The cover is not deceptive, this album hits like a runaway semi, and sounds kind of like one, too.

Anode/Cathode - "中華人民動物園"
Off the "Punkanachrock" single released on Pinakotheca Records in 1981.
Previously featured on 8-30-2015
The B-side Anode/Cathode's only single. The reclusive Japanese Industrial / Punk Rock band took 2 years to record this single and another 3 to actually release it. That's right, this began recording in 1975, the same year Throbbing Gristle formed. Crazed and absolutely mad, this 'song' is a compendium of abstract doodles and sonic experimentations sadly forgotten by the annals of noise music.

1-18-2016

Setlist:
1. Sun City Girls - Blue Mamba
2. The Gerogerigegege - ブライアン
3. Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 - Socket
4. Ween - Dr. Rock
5. Brainbombs - Jack The Ripper Lover
6. Twin Stumps - Painted In Blood
7. Etat Brut - Indigestion
8. Com Truise - Control Pop

Sun City Girls - "Blue Mamba"
Off the "Torch Of The Mystics" LP released on Majora in 1990.
Surprised SCG has been thrown on here, seeing as they're one of the biggest acts within the "Avant-Canon," up there with The Residents and Beefheart. With a guitar tone that is medically classified as an auditory anesthetic, a bass that can split canyons and drum work that gravitates from standard to wacked out, SCG go all over the place, rock songs, freak folk songs, psych songs, surf songs, and whatever they just feel like making. True legends!

The Gerogerigegege - "ブライアン"
Off the "Sexual Behavior In The Human Male" CD released on SSE Communications in 1995.
Previously featured on 12-3-2015.
Infamous Japanoise act takes a step back from ultra-abrasive noisecore for one album, focusing on Punk Rock and Post-Punkish type stuff. The original 4-track EP has been repressed into a full album, containing all of the songs from the studio session. The result is strange - the songs that weren't thrown onto the original EP are much better then the actual EP. Among the bonus tracks is "ブライアン," which according to google translate means "Brian." The track is among some of the most subdued you'll ever hear, on the complete different end of the spectrum as "Tokyo Anal Dynamite."

Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 - "Socket"
Off the "Strangers From The Universe" LP released on Matador in 1994.
The weirder side of Matador, TFUL282 formed in San Francisco in 1986 and have formed a prominent cult-following that transcended their 90's Indie / College Radio scene. Specializing in a brand of quirky and noisy Indie Rock mixed with Ambient tracks (called "Feller Filler") in order to make fully rounded, genre-tag defying albums. Here specifically is their track "Socket," perfectly produced and performed!

Ween - "Dr. Rock"
Off "The Pod" LP, released on Shimmy Disc / Elektra in 1991.
One of the most verbose and expansive catalogs in Rock history, Ween have released everything from basement noise rock to live jams to country and indie rock, and did so without rest during their legendary career. As a fan of Ween, I always felt that their second full length (before GodWeenSatan they had released an array of tapes, but most Ween fans mark their start as GodWeenSatan) saw willful neglect from their fanbase, but that might be because this is my favorite Ween album, and all in all, one of my favorite albums. Each track is just perfect, Ween were not only gods of Lo-Fi production, but gods of music in general.

Brainbombs - "Jack The Ripper Lover"
Off the "Jack The Ripper Lover / No End" single self released in 1989.
Previously featured on 10-3-2015.
One of my personal favorite Noise Rock acts, Brainbombs' first single is not to different from the work that they'd go onto do. With a one minute false intro which segues into the main song, "Jack The Ripper" is supposedly an expansion on a Peter Sotos writing of the same name, depicting a prostitute that had survived an encounter with the infamous Ripper. With the great intro coupled with the transcendent main section, with the ripping rhythmic guitar and a surprisingly eerie slide guitar, the Brainbombs' first song is not something to pass up.

Twin Stumps - "Painted In Blood"
Off their S/T LP released on Dais Records in 2009.
Previously featured on 10-31-2015 and 9-12-2015.
As I have previously stated, Twin Stumps have to be one of the best Noise Rock groups from the last decade, with an attitude, aesthetic and sound that is truly one of a kind. The industrial introduction is amazing, and it's a shame that they didn't experiment more with this amazing sound. The main song has hints towards war and all of its discontents, "murdering childrens in their homes," "blood raining down," etc. If only they added a lyric sheet with this album, because I feel like this track and "Scar" have great lyrics, but there's really no way of knowing for sure, since his voice is so buried in the mix. Whatta shame.

Etat Brut - "Indigestion"
Off the "Emissions 1" tape, self released in 1981.
Previously featured on 12-3-2015.
"Nearly all us will suffer from Indigestion in our lifetime." Belgian Industrial gods are back, well not really since this tape is from 1981. Emissions in some ways, is EB's best album, while in some ways it is their most dispensable. Some great tracks are on here, Such as 'Fragments,' 'Poubelles' and so on, while some tracks like 'Lines Of Murder' and 'Pyschosomatique" bore me. Of course it isn't EB's job or obligation to entertain me, but listening to great tracks like Fragments and Indigestion really leaves me craving for more songs like them. Intense, rhythmic and very ambient, with great progression between the 2 main mixers. Etat Brut, like many industrial groups, is hit or miss, but when they hit it, it's glorious.

Com Truise - "Control Pop"
Off the "In Decay" LP released on Ghostly International in 2012.
I am well aware of this albums popularity, (having over a million views on youtube) but I don't think the actual contents of the album has been really discussed at length - most of the appeal comes from the whole vaporwave / future funk thing of the last few years, most people coming for the memes and not staying for the music. Whatta legacy, com truise.
But all that aside, the actual album is amazing. "Control Pop" is easily my favorite tracks, with its warm synths and what not.

16. Consumer Electronics - Knives Cut
17. Total - Getting The Fear
18. V. Sinclair - An Impression
19. Family Underground - Chryselephantine
20. Nadia Khan - Slight Drift

Haldol - "Insomnia In Dream City"
Off Haldol's "S/T 45 LP" released via Bandcamp.
Haldol are Post-punkers from Philadelphia, their main sonic focus lies on recreating the sound of 1980's Post-Punk / Death Rock while still managing to not make it sound like throwback garbage. Great instrumentation, fabulous production and flow is what makes this one of the greats of 2015.

The Minneapolis Uranium Club Band - "Rafter Man"
Off "Explores Human Exploration" released on Fashionable Idiots.
Previously featured on 8-25-2015.
Having previously mentioned by love for this album, The Minneapolis Uranium Club Band's debut "Explores Human Exploration" was originally a 2014 demo tape released in a short run of copies in 2014. But, since this prominent vinyl issue of the demo tape came out in early 2015, we'll still count it for consistency's sake.

>> Fashionable Idiots <<

Citizen O - "Human Survival"
Off "Citizen O" released on Orange SLS Records.
Previously featured on 8-9-2015 and 9-7-2015.
Noise is the name of the game, and so are headaches. Citizen O has been a staple act on Moral Stain since it's early days, (quite a wishful term for what was only 5 months ago) as was much of the Orange-SLS Roster. Citizen O is somewhat of an outcast on the Orange SLS Label, however - much of the label consists of small time East Coast (specifically up state New York) Folk and Punk acts recording music either live or onto cassette. Citizen O contrasts the Folk DIY and Lo-Fi aesthetic, presenting to us loud and punishing compositions of guitar noise, ground shaking blasts of feedback that's louder then most of Citizen O's sonic ancestors, those being Whitehouse, No Trend, Sutcliffe Jugend, etc. Music for the nihilist in all of us.

Foot Hair - "Cool Runnings"
Off "Foot Hair" released on Box Records.
Previously featured on 12-10-2015.
Oh man! This was a hidden noise rock gem, dats 'fer sure - and possibly the best noise rock release of this year. Recommended to me from Joe over at Fucked By Noise, Foot Hair takes clear influence from our Noise Rock idols - Brainbombs, Drunk With Guns, No Trend and Flipper - and somehow ends up being even more scummy in the process. Comprised of Young Adults (at least, I hope so) from the UK, (specifically Newcastle Upon Tyne, the UK's 2nd finest Industrial shit-hole, almost surpassing Manchester) Foot Hair bring to us modern noise rock that isn't just shitty 90's Post-Hardcore with Albini ripoff production. Foot Hair is what everyone needed!

>> Bandcamp <<

Cuntz - "Chinese Dream Boat"
Off "Force The Zone" released on Homeless Records.
Releasing their annual record on Melbourne's "Homeless" Records, Cuntz, to my knowledge, have been around since the early 2010's bringing us straight-to-the-point and surprisingly catchy Garage Punk slammers about many things, but mostly drugs. High-Class gentlemen.

The Cleptos - "She'll Never Give Me The Answer"
Off "Collection Vol. 1" released on Orange SLS Records.
Previously featured on 8-11-20159-7-2015, and 8-25-2015.
Probably one of the most featured artists on this show, The Cleptos have been discussed at length and for good reason - they're an interesting band! The Cleptos recorded much material and would also play at now legendary clubs like CBGB's. The Cleptos would see total obscurity for most of the 80's, 90's and 2000's until Scotty Shoes, owner of Orange-SLS Records, would release choice material by The Cleptos in the early 2010's, starting with the "Demaro Demos" EP in 2013. Since then, Orange-SLS Records have been releasing excerpts from The Cleptos many tapes. This leads us to this years "Collection Vol. 1," probably the best Cleptos release thus far. Spanning from Rock, Folk, Punk and Disco, "Collection Vol. 1" beautifully explores their unique sound and vision.

Institute - "Perpetual Ebb"
Off "Catharsis" released on Sacred Bones.
One of the many bands to come out of Austin in the past 5 years, Institute specializes in groovy yet sluggish Post-Punk, with questionable vocals yet great guitar and bass work. With vaguely (socio)-political lyrics and and aesthetic hearkening back to Punk indifference, apathy and nihilism. Nothing ground-breaking, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't catchy.
I first caught wind of Institute after watching this show via YouTube, and the attitude (or lack there of) is what pulled me in. The vocalist (Mose Brown, I believe) was walking around aimlessly and at one point, pretty much hides in a plant. Next level Punk Rockers!

No Form - "Barrier"
Off "No Form" released on Reagant Records.
Insane and near-formless noise that intersects with Punk, "No Form" (from Leeds) present us not an album put a musical conclusion: a simple yet infinitely complex culmination of every Underground music "trend" of the last 40 years (No Wave, Hardcore, Industrial, Noise, Free Jazz, etc.) mashed into 15 claustrophobic minutes. Definitely something that needs to be heard in order to be even remotely fathomed.

A Place To Bury Strangers - "Straight"
Off "Transfixation" released on Dead Oceans.
A New York three-piece specializing in Shoegaze and Noise Pop / Rock, A Place To Bury Strangers may have the name of a 2000's metalcore band, but their musical output is much different then what one would expect. Produced like an 80's College Rock record and played like the worlds tightest Noise Rock band, "Transfixation" is a minor classic in the annals of Indie Rock, that is, Indie Rock that isn't garbage. Guitarist Oliver Ackermann creates seas of fluctuating feedback and unearthly tones while the bassist and the drummer manage to keep some rhythm.

Pumice - "Mothers In Mantis"
Off "Puddles" released on Soft Abuse.
A delightfully beautiful song with some extremely angular production and equally angular instrumentation off Pumice's (Stefan Neville) latest LP. Based out of Auckland, New Zealand, (a land that has brought us great music for the last 30 years, especially since the Dunedin Sound of the mid-80's) Pumice is mainly composed of Stefan Neville and friends (in this case, Matthew De Gennaro, Pat Kraus, Leighton Craig and Hermione Johnson) which aim to make unusual music of any form, Drone, Noise, Lo-Fi, Avant-Folk, you name it.

Tilth - "Ultramarine"
Off "Country Music" released on Round Bale Recordings.
Previously featured on 8-11-2015 and 8-25-2015.
Tilth's main aim to create "metaphysical music" has been more then well accomplished, the main appeal and message of the music does not lie in its composition but more so in its mood and feeling, a certain type of musical value that physically transcends music itself.
Although the name "Country Music" may make you think of the likes of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Hasil Adkins and the like, Tilth's "Country Music" is the 'real' sounds of the country side - quaint, minimal and ethereal.

Zone Demersales - "Navigazione Sommersa"
Off "Motore Primo" released on Boring Machines
Previously featured on 11-27-2015.
As previously mentioned, Zone Demersales is the duo of Michele Ferretti and Pietro Riparbelli - who have aimed to create a conceptual and aesthetic reflection of Minimalism, as well as "Cosmic Music." The sounds achieved are made through vintage analog hardware, as well as radio receivers and samplers.

Military Position - "Privileged And Weak"
Off "Anti-Human" released on Trapdoor Tapes.
Based out of Australia, Military Position is the project of Harriet Kate Morgan (also a member of Outcast and World Of Life Church SS) and this is her second tape under the name of Military Position, the first being 2013's Genocidal Tendencies. Military Position presents us rhythmic and crushing PE drones, shying away from some of the more free form PE out there. (the most famous example of that would probably be Whitehouse's early live shows.) It's nice to see more PE acts use the brutality of Whitehouse and merge it with the quaint and more foreboding nature of acts like Pure and Ramleh.

Ramleh - "Weird Tyranny"
Off "Circular Time" released on Crucial Blast.
Previously featured on 7-31-20158-30-2015, 10-3-2015, and 9-7-2015.
Gary Mundy and crew have had a fair share of exposure on here, and just when I thought I'd run out of Ramleh to throw on here, they release a new album! How nice. For the past 25 years Ramleh have been switching between Noise Rock and Industrial, and here Ramleh takes a more Rock approach after 2009's Valediction, which pursued an industrial direction. Walls of ripping guitar noise, Mundy yelling, bass clangs and drum tangs. Coming soon to your local disco!

E.G.Kaidan - "E.G.Kaidan 06"
Off "E.G.Kaidan" released on Alchemy Records.
Industrial legends Esplendor Gemometrico and JapaNoise gods Hijokaidan merge into one group for one show. Originally recorded in November of 2013, this one-off show was finally released on Alchemy Records this year. Combining EG's rhythms with Hijokaidan's crazed free-form style,

Consumer Electronics - "Knives Cut"
Off "Dollhouse Songs" released on Harbinger Sound.
Previously featured on 10-15-2015.
The latest release from veteran PE act Consumer Electronics, Dollhouse Songs is more or less an expansion on February's Repetition Reinforcement and yesteryear's Estuary English LP, both releases seeing the band using rhythm machines as well as Philip Best's trademark voice, (sounding oddly like Ebeneezer Scrooge) but now Consumer Electronics are putting the 'Power' back into 'Powerball,' I mean, 'Power Electronics,' seeing the inclusion of more wacked out mixers and synths, but still keeping the rhythm and Philip Best scaring the modern youth.

Total - "Getting The Fear"
Off "84-87" released on Bandcamp.
I know what you're all thinking, "This was released in 1994, not 2015!" Well, that is true, but the original 1994 pressing on Anomalous Records was limited to 86 copies, so naturally all the other seven billion nine hundred ninety nine million nine hundred ninety nine thousand nine hundred fourteen of us couldn't hear it - but no more! That's because Skullflower (which contained Total frontman Matthew Bower) released this tape in full onto their bandcamp in May.
Total was part of the whole Industrial Ambient Noise thingy that Ramleh and Pure was also involved in, making walls of droning noise and other cool stuff.

V. Sinclair - "An Impression"
Off "Dedication" released on Summer Isle.
V. Sinclair is a more recent drone / noise artist that has been making the rounds for the past couple years, releasing a few tapes a year. Border-lining between Concrete Music, Industrial and Rhythmic Noise, balancing into a sound that isn't necessarily 'new' (Etat Brut) but is still stellar.

Family Underground - "Chryselephantine"
Off "No Host. No Guest." released on Ba Ba Ding!
Previously featured on 11-27-2015 and 8-15-2015.
Family Underground and are a drone trio from Denmark that have been composing and forming sounds since the early 2000's, but the band has seen a progression from 20 minutes drones into 5 to 8 minute space-rock-ambient-thingy drones, and it's glorious. Moving on from last-years fantastic The Dark Light Years, 2015 sees the bands release of No Host. No Guest. which takes the band more towards drone and psych. Good stuff!

Nadia Khan - "Slight Drift"
Off "Open Interior" released on  Where To Now? Tapes.
A lesser-known drone release of this year, Open Interior has me slightly confused, the first 2 tracks are genius, but the other 3 tracks are mediocre. I will make sure to keep my eyes peeled for future releases, since I feel that Nadia Khan is going places.

Best In EP's / Demos / Singles:
1. Trace Hafner - Metronome
2. Slur - Crybaby
3. Disciples Of Christ - Untitled 3
4. Savage Blind God - Sedate And Infect
5. The Coneheads - Smiling Beat Of Life
6. CCTV - Anxiety
7. Laffing Gas - Regular Guy
8. Lumpy And The Dumpers - Noxious
9. Pure Shit - Slaves To Freedom
10. Horror House - Danielle
11. Bookworms - Exotic Auto Boutique
12. C.Y.S.T - Alazif IA IA IA IA
13. The Yolo Boyz - The Morning Bus

Trace Hafner - "Metronome"
Off the "Ramsey" EP released on Bandcamp.
Previously featured on 9-7-2015.
Singer / Songwriter Trace Hafner has, to my knowledge, been playing and recording music for years, being able to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and probably much more. Mostly writing folk / rock music with a emphasis on hedonistic instrumentals and shoegazey sounds that host interesting guitar parts and a stirring mood of disconnect.

>> Bandcamp <<

Slur - "Crybaby"

Off the "Real Pain" EP released on Bandcamp.
Slur describe their sound as "sad music 4 sad people," and although I'm far from sad, I still find this release (and this song) amazing. From Philadelphia, Slur fancy themselves a goth / shoegaze band, although at times I hear more indie then goth. Perhaps their "gothic" sound comes from 'Disintegration'-era The Cure. Definitely less whiny then The Cure, Slur offers distant and surreal instrumentals with the distant yelling and speaking of women.

>> Bandcamp <<

Disciples Of Christ - "Untitled 3"
Off the  self-released "2015 Demo" tape.
Everyone seems confused when it comes to this release, and in general, this band. Is it Noise? Noise Rock? Noisecore? Hardcore? Grindcore? Fuck if I know, but I do know that I enjoy it. Mostly comprised of Untitled tracks, some tracks do take a more Grindcore approach (the first untitled track and 'Chasin') but some, such as the stellar 'Untitled 3' takes a completely different angle: shifting and fluctuating guitar feedback create a sonic abyss.

>> Bandcamp <<

Savage Blind God - "Omnipresent Wyrm"

Off the"Demo" tape released on Bandcamp.
Rudimentary Peni have been on and off in terms of inactivity, us RudiPeni fans not seeing or hearing from the band since 2008's No More Pain. Blinko is still making his crazed art, Greville is still breathing and Matthews maintains existence. But wait! Here is a band that merges Farce-era RP with generic Hardcore in order to make cool stuff! Wow, there's been many bands trying to hold a candle to RP in the past 10 years but few acts do it more convincingly and better then 'Savage Blind God.' Hailing from the mystical land of Rhode Island, Savage Blind God sound more like an Austin punk band merged with a 50 year old Crust Punk's record collection.

The Coneheads - "Smiling Beat Of Life"
Off the "Selected Ringtones 3" tape, self released.
Previously featured on 9-22-2015.
Inzane Lo-Fi basement punk with a sense of humor that doesn't make you wanna die. Ripping on society, punks and even their own internet following in a very tongue-in-cheek, satirical way. Most all of The Coneheads tapes have the price printed on, (this one being $3) but discogs and other record / tape sellers started selling these sought-after-tapes for ridiculous prices, many listings upward to $100. So, The Coneheads, obviously confused and agitated, released the "Get Ripped Off" tape which jokingly had "100$" printed in the bottom right.
This is not "Get Ripped Off," much rather one of their latest tapes, "Selected Ringtones 3," which sees the band in their trademark, crazed Residents-esque style.

CCTV - "Anxiety"
Off the "CCTV" EP released on Lumpy Records.
Lumpy Records has a reputation for signing strange and crazed acts, with crazed garage punk to accompany it. CCTV, a more recent act on Lumpy, are a change of pace. Still with a similar aesthetic, CCTV's sound doesn't host buzzing feedback and sloppy power chords, but Lo-Fi post punk that's made by Twee / Jangle Pop fans. Interestingly anxious and nervous like the Talking Heads and The Feelies ("The Boy With Perpetual Nervousness")

Laffing Gas - "Regular Guy"
Off the "Laffing Gas" demo tape released on Turd Wurld.
Another act that's become part of the 2010's No-Fi punk movement, Laffing Gas sounds like they should belong on Lumpy Records, but they must be too cool for those guys, right? More purposely eccentric and basement sounding then the Lumpy roster, Laffing Gas seem to be gods when it comes to producing guitar, because the guitar all over this tape is some of the best I've heard from this genre.

Lumpy And The Dumpers - "Noxious"
Off the "Lumpy And The Dumpers / Ausmuteants" Split, released on Lumpy Records.
After discussing Lumpy And The Dumpers ad nauseam, now it's time to listen to these legendary degenerates at last. Much like their label crew, Lumpy And The Dumpers are experts in crafting ultra-brash and Lo-Fi garagy art punk that stopped caring centuries ago. Their live shows are definitely something that needs to be seen to be believed, as well.

Pure Shit - "Slaves To Freedom"
Off the "Beyond God" EP, released on Higher Dimensions.
Ever since The Gerogerigegege disappeared into the ether, everyone's been looking for a substitute or contemporary equivalent. Well, here it is.

Horror House - "Danielle"
Off the "Danielle" EP released on m.i.s.t. Records.
Busting in some Ambient / Acid House, Horror House has been around since 2011, releasing a steady steam of albums, EPs and singles since then. A strange yet dreamy kind of sonic nihilism, Horror House is the brainchild of South American house extraordinaire Manuel Silva.

Bookworms - "Exotic Auto Boutique"
Off the "Bookworms" released on LIES.
Kicking out even more Acid House / Techno, Bookworms has been around since 2012, and this is his ninth release (!) and features some of the most 'out there' use of synths and rhythm machines I've seen all year. Keep it up, Bookworms!

C.Y.S.T - "Alazif IA IA IA IA"
Off the "4/21/15" single released on Denvers State Records.
Previously featured on 12-3-2015.
C.Y.S.T took my pre-concieved notions of No-Fi Black Metal (which often mixes in with noise) and blew it out of proportions. Unlike alot of the 90's and 2000's acts that didn't really intend on making full on noise, C.Y.S.T gladly produces pure noisey and gloomy madness.

The Yolo Boyz - "The Morning Bus"
Off the "The Morning Bus" EP released via Bandcamp.
Previously featured on 8-9-2015.
I don't even know what to say at this point. Extremely crazed and wacked out to the furthest possible extent, making Lumpy And The Dumpers seem like a Doo-Wop band.
